REID SAVAGE - Guitar

Reid and two school friends met at the Wiliam Ellis school in Highgate and formed the band ‘Soar Throat’ in 1975. They were very successful in the Camden area releasing several singles and an album before splitting up in 1981. He then joined ‘Way of the West’ whose first single ‘White Boys’ is still played today and led to touring North America and Europe.

Reid then concentrated on session work in London studios including Abbey Road and worked with Dave Gilmour from ‘Pink Floyd’ on his boat the ‘Astoria’. He and the two original school friends then met up again and reformed as ‘Groovy Dad’ in 2011. Reid now lives with his partner Lucy in Lewes where he runs a successful guitar teaching business.
